 In the fall of 1997, publishing house Icarus/De Standaard put out a remarkable study on the Belgian animal rights organization, Gaia. Marc Hendrickx followed the movement-which developed into a socially relevant issue in just a few short years-for 18 months. He was present at each important protest action and discussed the motivation, the going ons, and their results with those in charge.
